The World's 100 Most Powerful Women

For the second year in a row Angela Merkel, the first woman to become chancellor of Germany, ranks No. 1 on Forbes' list of the World's 100 Most Powerful Women. Vice-president Wu Yi of Chinba is second and Ho Ching, Chief Executive of Temasek Holdings in Singapore is third.

The first American women is Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice, on No. 4. First Dutch women is Linda Cook, Executive Director of Royal Dutch Shell on No. 44.
