Science fiction and animation are a natural combination. It's a hell of a lot cheaper to draw an alien landscape covered in space ships than it is to create one in a studio.
Too often forgotten as just 'kid’s stuff,' there have been some truly excellent cartoons that combine science fiction and animation in absolutely awesome ways.
