Converter

Presurfer reader Bogdan has been developing a Firefox extension for unit, time zone and currency conversions since 2004. It's called the Converter. It converts either the selected measurement (via right click), or the entire page (via status bar icon).

The same code is now available as a cross-browser embeddable widget people can include on their websites. This contraption is called an Edget.

Here's an example. This is the original text:

Greg spent three years in his workshop crafting this 11 feet tall, 20 feet long monster bike which is powered by a 8.2 litre engine. The motorcycle weighs 6,500 pounds.
