Today is Spooner's Day, named after British Reverend William Archibald Spooner. Spoonerism refers to the linguistic flip-flops that turn 'a well-oiled bicycle' into 'a well-boiled icicle' and other ludicrous ways speakers of English get their mix all talked up.
